The Sidewalk Crusaders build a set list around the room, not the other way around. Pop hooks slide into a deep funk pocket, a jazz solo opens into a klezmer breakdown, and by the encore they've covered country, disco, Top 40, Punjabi folk, and the video game themes most function bands leave at home. The band scales from a single player to a full seven-piece with horns and additional vocalists, matched to the size and mood of the event. Choreography and improvised solos keep every performance different, with the band reading the crowd and switching genres in real time.
