Roadshow is run by one person, and this policy is written to be read, not to be survived. It says exactly what we collect, why we have it, who else touches it, and how to get rid of it.
Who we are
Roadshow is operated by 1001687878 Ontario Inc., doing business as Roadshow, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. For anything in this policy — including access, correction and deletion requests — email support@roadshow.fm.
What we collect, and why
Your email address.Signing in uses a magic link, so we need an email address to send it to. It identifies your account, and we use it to reply to you and to send service messages (a sign-in link, a billing receipt). We don't send marketing email to artists without asking first.
What you put on your site. Your text, photos, audio, video, links and anything else you add. We store it so we can build and publish your site. When you publish, that content becomes public — that is the point of a website.
Billing information. When paid plans are live, card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a Stripe customer/subscription reference, your plan, and a ledger of credits granted and spent.
Invoicing details you enter. If you use invoicing, we store the invoices you create — including your client's name, email and address. That's other people's personal information: you are responsible for having a reason to hold it, and we only use it to produce and send the invoice you asked for.
How the AI is used, but not what you typed. For each AI request we log metadata: which model, how many tokens, what it cost, how long it took, whether the change landed. This is how we keep the service affordable and catch failures. We do not store the text of your chat. Your conversation lives in your browser for the visit and is gone when you leave.
Visits to your published site. We count them without cookies and without building a profile of your visitors: a daily total per site, no tracking across sites, no advertising identifiers.
Visits to our own pages. The same way, and kept separate from yours: a daily total per page, plus the hostnamea visitor came from — enough for us to know whether someone found us through TikTok or Facebook. Never the full address they arrived from, never a cookie, never anything that links two visits to the same person. Your site's traffic is counted for you and is not mixed into ours.
Cookies
We set two, and neither is for advertising:
- A sign-in cookie, so you stay logged in. Without it the app can't work.
- A referral cookie(30 days), if you arrive through someone's referral link, so their reward is credited when you sign up.
We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, which is why you aren't reading this behind a consent banner.
Your fans' email addresses
If you add a mailing-list signup, the addresses your fans give you are yours. We store and process them on your behalf — we don't email them, sell them, or use them for anything of our own. You can export the list at any time, whether or not you're subscribed. You are responsible for how you contact those people, and for honouring their requests to be removed.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of service providers, each for one job. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
- Vercel — hosting and delivery of the app and published sites.
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (US region).
- Anthropic — the AI that builds and edits your site. Your request and the relevant parts of your site are sent to their API so it can respond. Anthropic does not use data submitted through their API to train their models.
- Resend — sending email (sign-in links, support replies, invoices you send).
- Stripe — payments, when paid plans are live.
We may also disclose information if the law actually requires it, or to protect someone's safety or our rights — and we'll tell you unless we're prohibited from doing so.
Where your data lives
We're a Canadian company, but our providers store and process data in the United States. Information held there may be accessible to US authorities under US law. By using Roadshow you accept that your data is handled outside Canada.
How long we keep things
- Your account and sites — while your account exists.
- Version history — 14 to 90 days depending on your plan, so you can undo mistakes.
- AI usage metadata and the credit ledger — kept as business records (they explain what you were charged for).
- Invoices— kept while your account exists, because they're your financial records; you may need them years later.
- Deleted files — removed from storage when you delete them, not just hidden.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and comparable laws elsewhere, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Email support@roadshow.fm and we'll answer within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your sites, files and personal details; we may keep the minimum needed for tax and accounting records.
If you think we've mishandled your information and we haven't put it right, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security, honestly stated
Access to your data is restricted at the database level so one account can't read another's, files are served over HTTPS, and payment details never reach our servers. No service can promise perfect security — if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator.
Children
Roadshow isn't for children. You need to be the age of majority where you live to have an account. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your data — for example if we ever start storing the text of AI conversations to improve the product — we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
